Acta S.p.A., the Italian company that has been greening the world with clean energy products takes another step towards saving the environment. Earlier this week, the company signed an exclusive supply agreement with Girelli Bruni S.p.A., one of Italy’s leading installers of filling station forecourt equipment, for the supply of photovoltaic installations and integrated hydrogen generators for the Italian service station sector.

Constellation Energy, the Baltimore-based energy products and services company recently announced that it is completing the development and construction of two comprehensive energy projects at federal correctional institutions in Fairton, N.J., and Petersburg, Va. More than $2.2 million will used to shape up both projects that combine energy and water conservation measures, in addition to utilizing renewable technologies to reduce utility costs and improve sustainability. An inmate workforce from the jail manufactured photovoltaic panels at a factory in a prison in Otisville, N.Y. The same team helped in installation of the solar panels.

China is taking a step towards cleaner energy production in a joint demonstration project which will store two thousand tonnes of carbon dioxide underground. Partnered between CSIRO Australia and China United Coalbed Methane Corporation Limited (CUCBM) the project will look to bury two thousand tonnes of carbon dioxide underground in the Shanxi Province and extract methane for use as an energy source.

Finding WiFi connectivity in remote areas can give you serious headache. In order to provide WiFi connections even in the most inaccessible area two students from the Rochester Institute of Technology have come up with a solution that is a “Wind Turbine powers WiFi-Repeater”. Using very little amount, Dan Lampie and David Brenner have installed a high directional antenna that sends and receives the WiFi data from a location with internet connectivity to the remote area, while a WiFi repeater is used to extend the wireless.
