I’ve got a lot of Google love these days. I used to be a faithful Yahoo! Girl but now I can’t help but feel wildly attracted to its younger and more popular counterpart! So I filed for divorce and took the kids.
If you go to Google.com today you’ll notice underneath the search box there is a note stating “New! Explore impact of climate change on Google Earth.”
Click on the link and you’ll enter the wondrous world of celebrity guided climate videos and more! I know Al Gore is ‘the man’ when it comes to global warming, but man does that dude have a boring voice. He makes Ben Stein sound enthralling!
Check out Google’s initiative to inform the public about climate change HERE.

Also, Google has been running Blackle, it's energy saving version of the search engine, since January 2007. The concept is that it uses less energy by displaying darker colours. The idea was proposed in a Heap Media blog post suggesting this type of search engine would use less energy. Blackle contains the same data as Google, just in a black and white format! Check it out HERE.
It’s nice to see that social responsibility is in. You go Goo (gle)!
Until next time.
Same green time, same green station,
Brittany
